An example of this craziness is that today is this completely made up word “Black Friday” –Consumerism gone mad. People buying all sorts of products that they haven’t budgeted for or don’t actually need, just because it’s got some money off. And yes, I understand that for people who are on a tight budget, these sales may help with their purchasing, it’s the needless, impulsive spending that feels wasteful.
People don’t seem to remember that we live on a planet called Earth? It’s Very beautiful and magical but it IS of finite size and resources. It seems to have a plague of humans upon it who seem to ravish Her abundance without care, without respect, Always taking without repaying. I keep seeing images of our oceans full of plastics and that is down to all of us and our spending habits and our throw away choices.
My definition of success feels like How GENTLY can I walk upon this Earth? How Little impact can I have? How little can I leave behind? How can I pay to Mother Earth for anything I do need or use?
Some people shop for the Buzz or it might make them feel happy? Happiness is not found in consumer items, it’s not in the latest gizmo or gadget, its not in Anything external. If that’s where you are looking you may always be disappointed as the happiness of the moment is fleeting and goes. This is a link to a blog I previously wrote about Happiness not coming from Anything external.

It's an INSIDE job.
It is Always with us,
No Matter the circumstances,
No matter what.
Joy is our Birthright.
It is with us Always, we just sometimes don't notice.
Stop running,
Stop searching.
Get Quiet.
Get Still.
Let it Have you.
Let it Envelop you.
No matter What is presenting and moving through the nervous system.
There is Constant LOVE.
CONSTANT Joy, CONSTANT Peace.
There is Happiness Right NOW.
Success looks and sounds different to different people. To me, it is Very simple and humble and beautiful and certainly not found in the high street stores. Today I connected with nature and explored creativity. Through my meditation practice, I felt very still and peaceful and yes Happy and I didn’t spend a penny on products that I don't need or want.
