This weekend was another one of those Full on Adventures and I LOVED Every second.
I went for a photoshoot. Nope this is Not something I would have Even considered this time last year. I have seen So many of these programmes where women get all made over and look a million dollars and get some Great images taken. I always thought perhaps at Some point – once I lost loads of weight and looked a certain way……. The truth is, I Am what I Am and I am perfectly imperfect Right Now. Don’t wait for another time another moment, This is the Moment. It will be gone in the next second. All that has ever happened is that I’ve watched other people have this kind of fun time and I’ve got another year older. This shoot was Completely for me, to celebrate all the entire journey and all the work and effort I have been doing falling in love with myself again and coming home to myself.
Anyway. I went to a company called Evolve in Edinburgh. http://evolvestudios.co.uk/ They were Amazing and I would recommend them in a heartbeat! I think All ladies should treat themselves and get along there!!! It’s all females that work there and the minute I walked in I was given a glass of bubbly, so it was a good first impression. I got my hair and makeup all done and was so pampered and taken care of. The photographer was superb and put me at my ease and directed me throughout the shoot. I had no nerves and just surrendered into the whole experience as if this was the most natural thing to be doing on a Saturday afternoon. I am so excited to see how they turn out. I am just looking for 1 image where I can look at myself and accept what I see without negatively judging everything all the time.
So that was Saturday and then on Sunday I was gifted the treasure of facilitating a free style dance class. I Lept Immediately at this opportunity like a Hungry Tigress to completely devour this chance. Dance is my home, where my Shakti blossoms and shines in Full splendour. I had No fears, no worries At ALL. I found it incredibly fun and enjoyable to craft a playlist and it was quite intuitive to put all together. I made sure I got to the hall in Plenty of time so I could check out how everything worked with the sound system and the lights. I put fairy lights all round the outside so we could then get the lights low and dance in the darkened space. I set up a small altar with some beautiful Autumnal colourful leaves, crystals and some Kuan Yin cards which represented dancing aspects. I brought in the 4 corners and my intentions. I lit candles to honour the women who showed up, for the beautiful woman who gave me this sublime opportunity and for the dancing divine feminine. I used some lovely high vibration sprays to bring in some energies and I cleansed the space with sacred sage. It was such a profound honour and privilege to be able to hold this space for the women that came and to share myself, my music and my dance. I am So excited for the next opportunity to dance with amazing Shakti Sisters.
